Team Outing

After joining in AI team, Noida…it was first team outing and the day chosen was 25th August, 2007 Saturday. It was truly a refreshing party in Fort Grande, Delhi. We started from office at 10.45 AM and reached there at almost 11.30 AM. Initially it seemed that it will be very boring party as the gathering was not as per expectation. But after reaching there, it was only fun for rest of the day.

The party was kicked off with tea/coffee and snacks and organizers announced the first game – "Paper Dance". After that it was the time to go for team events and four teams were formed. All the teams were supposed to use newspapers and wrap up their managers in the form of "Mummies". My team used the opportunity and manager in my team Anil suggested to utilize my physique for the event…they wrapped me up in the form of "Mummy". And we were declared winner too…my first winning as manager. After all these things, it was the time for delicious lunch with yummy ice cream.

After this event we had same competition for the couples. Then we had interactive session where Kallol sung a song, kids performed their talent. Anil presented poem about weather with alcoholic description. And the best thing was Dhirendra’s songs and dance. The song "Hawa hawa" sung by him was really great.

Another event was "Scroll and Collect the items". People were shouting all around and one team member was in the ground expecting proper directions from his team members without getting disturbed from the shouting of other teams. We were successful in distracting others, but we stood second in this event.

Now the time was for "Attack and defend", the game was to fill the air in the balloons and then destroying the balloons of other teams by saving theirs. We stood first in this event. Though little bit cheating was involved in the game and big cheaters were me and Kallol.

After having all these events, we all moved to "Garam Masala", the venue for hot tea and prize distribution. First of all, we played Tambola with lovely comments from all the audience. Though I didn’t get any house or row, but I was the member of winning team and important "Mummy" character. We got first prize which was "Pen stand, Paper weight and Paper Slips Container". All these articles are purely leather articles with Adobe logo. We all started back to home at 5.30 PM.

Luckily Kallol was having two free passes for movie "Hey Babby" in PVR which he got from Airtel lucky draw in our office. He asked me to accompany him, and we both enjoyed this movie a lot followed by "Jodhpuri Paranthas" at "Parantha hut" in Spice World, Noida.
